Concordia College of Benguet in Action during the Korean Baguio Day Celebration

The Third Baguio Korean Day Celebration with the theme “Bridging Cultural and Racial Differences for a vibrant Baguio” was held last October 10, 2014 in Baguio City hall. The objective of the event is for the Koreans to reach out to Filipinos in Baguio as they live in peace and harmony together. The program started at 10:00 in the morning with gift giving ceremony, wherein 100 less fortunate families in Baguio were given a pack of rice, goods and other grocery items. It was headed by Mr. Steve Kang, member of the executive committee for this celebration together with our very own Concordia College of Benguet Honorary President Mr. Husky Ryu, who provided the goods for the citizens of Baguio, along with the other officials of Baguio Korean Association and Government Officials of Baguio City.
The Concordia College of Benguet students, staff and teachers were also present and helped to facilitate the gift giving event by assisting in giving out the goods and organize the crowd as they line up and receive gifts. It was indeed a day to celebrate and be thankful for the blessings that we receive every day. The program lasted for an hour; however, the Filipino families and the whole Baguio City will forever be grateful for this act of charity and friendship of the Koreans.
