VIETPHIL and HUST Junior Camp Daily Activities

VIETPHIL and HUST Junior Camp Daily Activities

(First Week: May 29 to June 03)

HELP wants the children to enjoy their vacation, but we do not forget that summer is a great time to hone their English speaking skills or prepare for challenges in the upcoming school year. Our Junior program keeps the campers entertained, educated, and making new friends all summer long.

We offer students an opportunity to catch up and get ahead this summer. We are not only providing English lessons to our young learners but we also give our Junior campers the opportunity to enjoy especial enrichment classes. In addition , the activities vary across a spectrum of mental to physical, individual to cooperative, self-elected to designated, as well as small group to whole group.

So to speak, this month’s first week program focuses on skills improvement activities and sociability; including pop dance and movement, singing classes, badminton, swimming, and relay games.

Junior campers in HELP Clark Institute spend the afternoon engaged in learning experiences designed to foster creative talent. There are three separate activities that are differentiated to meet the individual readiness and interests of each student. Our special activity classes that start at 4 PM offer students the opportunity to engage in fun learning experiences. The teaching staff of HELP utilizes best practices to maximize potential in each student and ignite their passion in singing, dancing, and playing different relay and sport games. All campers are required to take all of the special activity classes.

When campers are not in the classroom on weekends, they have a full day of engaging activities planned and led by our student managers. Moreover, our residential staff is composed of creative, intelligent, supportive prefect teachers who have a tremendous amount of enthusiasm for working with children.

Besides the daily activities, we offer many other fun and exciting experiences such as: swimming, movies, shopping, field day, and much more, all while enjoying the beautiful American ambiance of Clark Free Port grounds. Since Junior campers also spend time outside of the campus, our student managers and prefect teachers aim to ensure all the students remain engaged and active all day long. To ensure appropriate and effective levels of supervision, our excursion planning always take into account:

  • The age, maturity, physical characteristics and gender of students.
  • The ability and experience of the students.
  • The size of the group.
  • The nature and location of the excursion.
  • The activities to be undertaken.

These 5 factors on the above list is strictly observed for the safety of all our campers and staff.

Last Saturday, 3rd of May we brought all our Junior campers to Villa Alfredos resort and Safari for a dip in the pool and some fun and exciting relay games. The convoy of Junior students together with student managers, leaders, and prefect teachers left at 10 Am and reached its destination at quarter to 11 AM. The prefect teachers have taken their respective posts and the campers were given instructions soon as group arrived in Villa Alfredos in Angeles, Pampanga. The children were permitted to meander and try all the swimming pools inside the resort as long as they go in small groups together with one prefect teacher. Food was delivered for lunch at 1 PM and it has been succeeded by a set of relay games in the afternoon.
