Concordia participates “Speak to the world” event with KIECC

Korea Institute for Education Culture (KIECC), a global culture promotion ambassador and supervisors of PECT, and ECT examinations in Korea, announced last week to hold KIECC English Speaking Contest on January and February of 2019.

“The importance of speaking ability in English language has been increasing steadily. We decided to open an event where children could have an opportunity to express themselves confidently in public”, said Jaehyun Ryu, president of KIECC.

After the local preliminary contests on August 2017, this year will hosts various local preliminary elections: October in Kyungi-do, November in Honam, December in Seoul then the final national event will be held in Seoul next year February.

This year contest is supported by Concordia International University, Olive English, and Wondafl. The highest prize winner of the contest will enter the prize of 1 month ‘Global Leadership Language Camp’ in Philippines provided by Concordia International University. Furthermore, Online video program, online library program, and different types of scholarships are available for winners of the contest to further enhance their English learning opportunities.

Through continuous developments of English-speaking contest and their efforts to support scholarship programs; through practical and objective examinations such as PECT and ECT, KIECC plans to produce a talented communicative individual and install a proper English learning culture in Korea.
