CIC Newsletter Volume 18 – SPECIAL: Lifelong Learning
Concordia International College conducted Part 2 of the Land Bank Managers Training at major provincial cities – Land Bank in Cebu City and Davao City on Diploma in Business and Development. The training is a continuation of Land Bank and Concordia Global academic partnership towards the internationalization and professionalization of Lifelong Learning Program . The instructional design of the Continuing Professional Education is a systematic process of translating principles of learning and instruction into plans for instructional materials and activities.
The training programs customized to the Concordia Learning Management System consist of four courses namely: Business Communication, Business Ethics and Global Leadership, Managing Generational Diversity and TQM on Global Strategies. Each BDEV course provides the learners with an understanding of critical skills necessary to lead an organization in this turbulent and changed environment.
By knitting together the course contents, Concordia offered to professionals the opportunity to actualize organizational roles by :
• Understanding value of customer relations- how they can work with them in all directions regardless of occupation, level location, and a variety of other characteristics and beliefs;
• Developing case studies on management and leadership in the light of the participants’ ability in distilling the learnings into useable tactics and practices as applied in their units/ departments.
Each module in the program centered on strategies and practices to bridge and utilize the managers’ potential through human relationships thereby honing managerial skills needed in the 21st century workplace. The courses aim to build the leadership capacity of the students that enhances creativity and productivity operating in today’s multicultural, information- rich environment.
