Concordia visits James Cook University in Singapore
Concordia International University and James Cook University (JCU) Singapore had a wonderful meeting on the 26th of August 2016 to allow Concordia International University to offer programs that we at Concordia currently don’t have, such as courses in engineering and game design. The representative from JCU Singapore was Jirin Farida, from the university’s executive marketing support.
James Cook University is the leading university for the tropics in Australia. It is in the top four percent in the Academic Ranking of World Universities in 2015, it receives five stars for their graduate outcomes, and it won maximum teaching citations for “Office for Learning and Teaching” in 2014.
JCU Singapore gives the students a chance to study in not only Singapore but also Australia without changing the Singapore-based students’ tuition fees to Australian dollars, meaning even if they were to study in Australia, they would still pay in Singapore currency. Thus, if our partnership with them comes to fruition, our students will have a chance to study in Singapore, and Australia, allowing the students to have different learning environments and improve their social skills, as they will have an opportunity to deal with people from different cultures well.
